I would say they should be rebalanced to target 10 enemies at once and fire 10 missiles at once - at least this would give them a niche in PVE. Combined with only tracking a single target, and slow time to target, they're worthless for PVE as well. Their vertical firing, combined with only equivalent velocity for forward-firing missiles means that they just can't hit things that are dashing on the ground or in the air at all. I can understand why they did it but I really think it shouldn't be in any PVE scenario, only PVP. The only times I've had them connect is after I time stunning enemies with a shoulder and hand cannon.Įxcept the invulnerability phase cancels out literally all of that damage.really this is the one thing I could forgive about the Scarlets if the invul phase on knockback/stun wasn't so unbelievably forgiving. Re Scarlet Star, same, I really want to love the Scarlet Star since their aesthetic is on point for a heavy hitting mech. Shoulder weapons, if you choose to use them, are more your backup kit and trouble-starters than big damage sources. A: Laser Rifles (Stargazer, Takemikazuchi), Missiles (Thunderbird 1/2, Foolish Wrath, Rampage Hammer), Melee (Ohabari, Dainsleif, Arondight) B-: Assault Rifles (Guilty Throne, Grim Reaper III, Astraeus II), Laser Rifles (Lohenkrieger), Flamethrowers (Shiranui) C: Tier gap because the rest is really unviable. They only seem usable by very fast mechs which can deploy them to cause incidental damage while the mech itself stays threatening (they're useless at range, since they can just be shot down).īasically, handheld weapons are kinda the stars of the show. Again, tricky to use.īlitz also recently got buffed, but they still feel lacking. Laser Cannons can wreck shop if you can limit the opponent's mobility somehow (Arc stun or STM-over through Burn). But very demanding to use given the payoff. Railguns are great if you're a good shot with them (and know how to use Blink to cancel a spoiled shot). Melee build armor and weapons recommendations : r/DaemonXMachina. I think they need a little more love (they got buffed in the most recent content update). Daemon X Machina Is Getting A Fancy Limited Edition Exclusively For Europe And Australia. Their Optimals are long enough to be kind of awkward to find consistently. Ogre Break and OBII can yield solid results on hits in Optimal Range, but that's really hard to do. Lowenflug and Riot Zero take work, but can sometimes yield solid payoff.Ĭannons are unfortunately tricky to use. I only have one beam sword so far (the Baldur's Edge), and while it's definitely flashy, it uses WAY too much femto per attack, imo. Even with the long wind-up, clubs are pretty fantastic (unless the enemy has a katana out). Brinicle is a slow, tough chaser that can't safely be ignored. I my opinion, katanas and clubs are definitely the best so far. Rampage Hammer can contribute to causing a STM-out, allowing you to focus the enemy down with your hand weapons. I feel like Thunderbird, Tbird II and Foolish Wrath are all reasonably accessible as support fire. Well, unfortunately, Scarlet Star missiles are quite rubbish! Sadly, I can't recommend their use in any situation.
